Job summary

ServingSchools in Wales, Maine is hiring a part-time Food Service Worker (20 hrs/week) at Oak Hill High School to serve nutritious meals in a safe, clean environment.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, knowledge of food service operations, and training in sanitation and safe food handling. Responsibilities include meal preparation, serving, and maintaining sanitation standards across the school site.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of food service operations.
• Training in sanitation and food handling safety.

Responsibilities

• Assists in maintaining a high standard of nutrition for all students.
• Works as a team member with staff at assigned school.
• Operates necessary equipment in an efficient, safest, and fastest way at maximum capacity.
• Assists in preparing, cooking, and serving the meals at the assigned school.
• Follows established sanitation procedures.
• Assists with student money, meal accountability, and necessary paperwork as may be required by the Food Service Manager and/or Food Service Director.
• Responsible for the washing and sanitizing of food service utensils.
• Performs such other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned by the Food Service Manager and/or Food Service Director
