Job summary

Lunchtime Solutions, Inc is hiring a Head Cook for our school food service program in Storm Lake, IA. This on-site role runs Monday through Friday, 6:30am to 1:30pm, focusing on nutritious meal production and safe, efficient kitchen operations.

The ideal candidate will have a HS Diploma or GED, about a year of cooking experience, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, with strong teamwork and reliability to support daily service to students.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED Preferred.
• 1 year of cooking experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform frequent standing, bending, twisting, and other physical tasks.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Ability to follow recipes, measure ingredients, and convert quantities for large batches.
• Dependability, integrity, and a commitment to excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily food production by preparing high-quality meals and following recipes.
• Maintain kitchen organization and FIFO storage, HACCP logs, production records, and inventories.
