Maine RSU 21 is seeking a dependable Food Service Substitute to assist the Kitchen Manager in preparing healthy school lunches that meet state and federal requirements.

You will handle food prep, inventory, ordering, safety, and sanitation; maintain records and collaborate with staff and students.

Requires high school diploma or GED, sanitation certification, two years in food service, and a valid DOE fingerprinting certification; training provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; sanitation certification.
• Minimum two years in food service.
• Valid DOE fingerprinting certification required.

Responsabilités

• Maintain highest safety and cleanliness standards in the kitchen.
• Prepare food according to planned menu and tested recipes.
• Record all food requisitions and meals; manage monthly inventory.
• Order supplies weekly through the Kitchen Manager.
• Collaborate with students, staff and the public to ensure quality service.
• Daily cleaning of kitchen equipment and utensils; assist during special events.
