Job summary

Westwood Public Schools is seeking a Cafeteria General Worker to join the team for a 4- to 7-hour shift, typically 7:00 AM to 2:30 PM or 10:00 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday through Friday. Duties include assisting the Lead Cook with school lunch preparation and maintaining food safety during service.

Entry pay ranges from $19.22 to $21.36 per hour, based on experience and qualifications. Benefits mention paid holidays as per the employment contract.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• ServSafe certification required.
• Allergen training required.
• CPR certification required.
• Valid driver’s license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist Lead Cook and Cooks to prepare school lunches.
• Follow National School Lunch Program guidelines.
• Record temperatures and maintain food safety records.
• Maintain safe and sanitary food handling practices.
• Assist in dishwashing and cleaning duties.
• Communicate shortages or issues to the Lead Cook.
