Job summary

Applitrack is seeking a part-time School Kitchen Assistant to support the Nutrition Services Department of Federal Way Public Schools. The role involves preparing and serving meals, maintaining safe and sanitary service, and supporting daily kitchen operations at Lake Grove Elementary.

Responsibilities include assisting with lunch setup, serving meals, handling cash transactions, and recording daily lunch numbers and milk deliveries in compliance with department protocols.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Preferred experience in service industry serving the public and cash handling.
• Working knowledge of basic computer applications is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist Kitchen Manager with lunch set-up, prep, and cleanup.
• Serve meals to students and staff, plate food per requests, and handle cash/tickets.
• Operate POS and ticketing systems as per department protocol.
