Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Will pursue and obtain a State of Illinois Sanitation Certificate.
• Familiar with food preparation and kitchen appliances.
• Ability to understand and follow basic written and oral instructions.
• Able to maintain professional conduct and follow school policies.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food for the full menu and ala carte items.
• Handle, carry, and serve food to students.
• Ensure adequate trays, utensils, and service items.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and sanitation per standards.
• Wash dishes, clean equipment, and mop floors daily.
• Assist in inventory and storage of food products.
• Communicate with students about food selection and allergies.
• Report equipment needs to supervisor and assist with repairs.
