Job summary

Sun Valley Academy is seeking a part-time Food Service Worker to support lunch service at South Mountain. You will supervise students, assist with meal routines, and maintain a clean, safe lunch environment.

Responsibilities include checking names on rosters, helping younger students open containers, wiping tables, sweeping and disposing of waste. Must lift up to 25 pounds and interact professionally with students and staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One (1) year of experience working with children.
• Possess or be able to obtain a Level One IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.
• Ability to work in a timely and efficient manner.
• Ability to relate to students, staff, and the public in a positive and professional manner.

Responsibilities

• Supervise students during lunch periods and ensure proper behavior.
• Check students' names off of assigned lunch rosters.
• Assist lower grade students with opening food and drink containers.
• Monitor students and help maintain a safe and orderly lunch environment.
• Wipe and clean tables throughout the lunch periods.
• Sweep and mop the multipurpose room as needed.
• Collect and dispose of waste to maintain a clean and sanitary environment.
• Help maintain the cleanliness and organization of the multipurpose room.
• Assist school staff with student supervision and lunch-related routines.
