Job summary

Hardy County Board of Education is seeking a licensed practical nurse (LPN) for the 2026-2027 school year. The position requires a state-approved LPN program completion and WV license, plus First Aid/CPR certification. A background check and mandated WVDE trainings are required, with accommodations possible where needed.

Salary is based on the 2026-2027 salary scale. Start date for the 2026-2027 school year and application details are available upon request.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Completed an LPN program state approved, passed the LPN licensing exam, and licensed by the state of WV as an LPN.
Criminal background check conducted per WV Code §18-5-15c and/or §18A-3-10, as appropriate.
Must have and maintain First Aid/CPR certification.
Must provide verification of successful completion of First Aid/CPR—official card not required.
Complete all required county and WVDE trainings.
Ability to perform the job duties and responsibilities as contained in the Job Description, with or without reasonable accommodations.
