The School LPN/LVN provides nursing support to students inthe school setting in accordance with state nursing regulations and scope ofpractice requirements. Responsibilitiesinclude monitoring student health concerns, administering medications and treatmentsas delegated or ordered, providing first aid and care for illness or injury,and supporting students with chronic health needs. The School LPN/LVN maintains accurate healthrecords, communicates with families and school staff regarding student healthneeds, and works closely with the school nurse to help ensure a safe andhealthy learning environment. The position also promotes health education,disease prevention, and student well-being while following district policiesand state education requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Current, active LPN/LVN license
• One (1) year of nursing experience, preferably in a school,pediatric, community health, or public health setting, preferred
• Experience working with children and adolescents.
• Knowledge of community health resources and public healthservices.
• Complies with all relevant professional standards ofpractice
• Current CPR if applicable
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
• Current Health certificate (per contract or stateregulation)
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age
