Job summary

Troy Middle School is seeking an LRC Associate to support library services and assist teachers and students with print and non-print resources in the Learning Resource Center.

The role reports to the Building Administration and District Library, Literacy, and Educational Technology Coordinator and involves assisting with library classes, inventory, and resource management, with duties including supervising student behavior in the LRC.

Qualifications

• Paraprofessional License via ISBE or higher education requirement.
• 60 semester hours of college coursework or an associate degree or higher.
• Background clearance including fingerprinting and FBI background check.

Responsibilities

• Prepare individual library schedule.
• Order and receive books for librarian.
• Prepare and execute planned library classes.
• Notify homeroom teachers about overdue books and collect fines.
• Maintain library inventory and shelves, including AV equipment.

Education

Paraprofessional License (ISBE) / 60 hours college coursework

Associate's degree or higher

Pass ACT WorkKeys or ETS Paraprofessional Assessment with high school diploma
