Job summary

Douglas ESD in Roseburg, OR seeks an At-Will School Administrator Mentor to provide leadership coaching to district school administrators. The role offers monthly in-person sessions and virtual check-ins across a 10-month period, with a stipend per mentee and travel as needed.

The mentor will focus on goals, leadership responsibilities, and district context, while maintaining confidentiality and professional standards.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Oregon administrative license.
• Minimum of seven years of successful school administrator experience.
• Willingness to travel to mentee schools as needed.
• Experience coaching leaders without an evaluative role.

Responsibilities

• Provide services over a 10-month period, with 5.5 hours per month allocated to each mentee, for a total of 55 hours per mentee.
• Provide one 2-hour in-person coaching session each month, including observation of the administrator's leadership practice in the building.
• Provide three 1-hour virtual check-ins each month to discuss priorities, reflect on practice, and address current needs.
• Coordinate with mentees' supervision for progress checks and goals as needed.
