Job summary

Chartwells K-12 in Munster, IN is hiring for a full-time Food Unit Lead to coordinate activities of kitchen staff and deliver an enjoyable dining experience for customers, staff and visitors. Location: 8616 Columbia Avenue, Munster, IN 46321. Schedule: Monday–Friday with varying hours.

Previous kitchen management experience required; sign-on bonus offered after 90 days. Pay ranges from $16.00 to $21.00 per hour, with an internal referral bonus possible.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in managing a kitchen staff is required.

Responsibilities

• Oversees and participates in the preparation and service of food and beverage items per company standards.
• Trains employees; assigns and coordinates work to promote efficiency and excellence in food and service.
• Helps plan menus and ensures timely, efficient meal service.
• Manages cash handling and daily/weekly reports as required.
