Chartwells K-12 at Elkhart Community Schools in Elkhart, IN is hiring a Food Unit Lead for a full-time, Monday–Friday schedule. You will supervise food-service staff, ensure quality and safety standards, and help plan menus to deliver a positive dining experience for students and staff.

Applicants must have prior food service management experience and a ServSafe certification. This is a fast-paced role with opportunities to lead a team and contribute to nutritious, appealing meals.

Qualifications

• Prior food service management experience required.
• ServSafe certification required.
• Must be able to work full-time, Monday–Friday.

Responsibilities

• Provides quality customer service with attention to detail.
• Oversees preparation and service of food and beverages per standards for presentation, sanitation, safety and portion control.
• Helps plan menus.
• Ensures timely, efficient meal service; supervises serving of meals.
• Trains employees; coordinates work to promote efficiency and excellence in food and service.
• Maintains and expedites daily/weekly/monthly reports such as inventory, payroll and time-keeping.
• Directs sanitation and safety of the facility and employees per company standards and regulations.
