Job summary

The Gardner School of Franklin is hiring a School Kitchen Support Staff to help prepare meals, manage the kitchen and ensure safety standards are met.

You will work with the director on menus, handle inventory, order supplies, cook and serve meals, maintain cleanliness, and assist in classrooms when needed. This role supports our childcare program with reliable attendance.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of food safety regulations and guidelines.
• Ability to handle dietary allergies knowledge.
• Experience in food preparation and cooking, including large volume cooking.
• Experience with menu planning and meal preparation.

Responsibilities

• Confirm weekly menus with school director.
• Adhere to the school's budgetary needs.
• Maintain inventory and complete weekly food and supply orders.
• Prepare and cook meals according to approved menus.
• Ensure food is cooked and served at the correct temperature.
• Maintain a clean, sanitized and organized kitchen area.
• Dishwashing and kitchen housekeeping.
• Follow food safety guidelines and nutrition standards.
• Assist in classrooms and other areas as needed.
