Job summary

Leman Academy of Excellence seeks an Assistant Kitchen Manager to support daily food preparation for the school lunch program in charter settings. You will assist the Kitchen Manager with food prep, staffing, inventory, and compliance with USDA standards and HACCP procedures.

The role involves supervising kitchen staff, maintaining records, operating the cash box, and coordinating with vendors. A ServSafe Manager Certification within 6 months is requested; High School diploma or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Assist in all food preparation activities and supervise kitchen staff as directed.
• Maintain production, inventory, and financial records and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Operate cash box and ensure accurate monies collection.
• Lead inventory processes and coordinate with vendors for deliveries.
• Complete USDA Mandatory Training hours as required.
• Support the Kitchen Manager in staff development and performance management.
