Job summary

SFE- Southwest Foodservice Excellence is seeking a Kitchen Manager to lead daily food service at a school site. You will oversee food preparation, train staff, manage inventory, and maintain safety standards in a fast‑paced environment.

The role requires strong organization and reliable supervision, with the ability to work with students, staff, and vendors. A ServSafe certification and a high school diploma are preferred; background checks are required.

Qualifications

• Prior supervisory experience is preferred.
• Ability to train and supervise staff in a fast-paced kitchen.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all food production and service to meet quality, safety, and portion standards.
• Train and supervise kitchen staff on recipes, equipment safety, and sanitation.
• Prepare daily and weekly paperwork, reports, and schedules.
• Monitor inventory and ensure proper ordering, receiving, and storage of supplies.
• Maintain equipment cleanliness and report any repair needs.
• Enforce HACCP, health department regulations, and ServSafe standards.
