Job summary

Chartwells K-12 located at Cranbrook Schools, Bloomfield Hills, MI, is seeking a full-time Sous Chef. The role demands prior culinary and kitchen experience and offers benefits. Schedule is full-time with variable days and hours. Pay ranges from $25.00 to $26.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Prior culinary and kitchen experience is required.
• Experience supervising kitchen staff preferred.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures.

Responsibilities

• Cooks and prepares food following approved recipes and production standards.
• Supervises hourly food service associates, including scheduling, payroll, and reviews.
• Stores food in designated areas following all food safety and sanitation procedures.
• Maintains sanitation of equipment, supplies and utensils.
• Interacts with customers to resolve complaints in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
• Demonstrates understanding of daily menu items and explains them to associates and customers.
• Monitors inventory and deliveries; informs supervisor when supplies are low.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
