Job summary

Cherry Creek Careers seeks a Food Service Worker to support school meal programs by performing kitchen duties, serving meals, and ensuring food safety and quality. The role emphasizes teamwork, reliability, and strong customer service in a fast-paced environment.

The worker will follow all district regulations, HACCP procedures, and health department guidelines while assisting with food preparation and service. This is an on-site position in a school setting.

Qualifications

• Criminal background check and fingerprinting required.
• High School Equivalency (HSE) diploma.
• Experience in food service, including serving, catering, kitchen, bartending, or restaurant service.

Responsibilities

• Rotate all kitchen duties daily.
• Assist in daily cleaning of the kitchen and service areas.
• Assist in preparation and service of food.
• Demonstrate excellent customer service skills.
• Operate, clean and sanitize food service equipment, pots, pans and utensils.
• Check the quality and temperature of prepared foods before service.
• Assist in cleaning refrigerators, freezers and storerooms as designated by the manager.
• Perform cashiering duties.
• Familiarize with food service computer functions.
• Communicate effectively in verbal and written form.
• Follow HACCP Plan mandates including completing checklists and SOPs.
• Perform other duties as assigned or requested.
