Job summary

The Nutrition Group is seeking a Kitchen Manager for a large K-12 school cafeteria operation. You will oversee food production, train staff, and ensure compliance with school meal programs on a site-wide scale.

You will work with regional chefs to develop recipes, maintain records, and support catered events as needed. This on-site leadership role offers opportunities to improve service and efficiency in a busy school setting.

Qualifications

• At least 1–2 years staff management experience.
• Experience in food service operations.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret recipes; perform basic math conversions.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office programs.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Must obtain clearances and pass criminal background checks.

Responsibilities

• Oversee food production on a large scale.
• Train school cafeteria staff and ensure proper procedures.
• Maintain Daily Production Records and related paperwork.
• Understand and apply National School Breakfast Program requirements.
• Understand National School Lunch Program requirements.
• Utilize kitchen equipment efficiently and safely.
• Meet company expectations and adhere to food concepts.
• Facilitate catered events and collaborate with regional chefs to develop recipes.
