Job summary

The Gardner School in Chelmsford, MA is hiring a School Kitchen Staff member to help prepare meals, manage inventories, and ensure food safety. The role supports classroom activities as needed and requires ability to handle large-volume cooking with careful adherence to menus and dietary guidelines.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of dietary allergies and food safety regulations.
• Experience with menu planning and meal preparation.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to approved menus.
• Maintain inventory and complete weekly food and supply orders.
• Ensure food is cooked and served at the correct temperature.
• Maintain a clean, sanitized and organized kitchen area.
• Dishwashing and general kitchen support; assist in classrooms as needed.
