Sodexo Ltd is seeking a kitchen assistant to support the Cook Manager at a Worcester school site. You will prepare, cook and present food to company standards for meals and hospitality, while supporting compliance with health and safety regulations.

You will help train catering staff, ensure food is presented well, and portion dishes according to needs. The role emphasizes customer service, cleanliness, and adherence to safety procedures, with a friendly team environment and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• 1 year of hands-on cooking experience is required.
• Experience cooking for large groups (100–1300 students) is desirable.
• Experience following recipes in a catering setting.
• Experience working with fresh produce and ingredients.
• Commitment to health and safety procedures and standards.
• Basic food handling skills certification is required.

Responsabilités

• Prepare, cook, present, and serve food to company standards for breakfast, lunch, and hospitality.
• Adhere to Food safety, Health and Safety, Allergen awareness, COSHH and HACCP regulations.
• Carry out basic training for catering staff.
• Ensure service counters and food presentation meet company standards.
• Portion dishes according to business requirements.
• Complete daily/weekly cleaning duties and manage waste from catering areas.
• Deliver high standards in customer service, cleanliness, and operation.
