Job summary

St. Patrick Catholic School is seeking a Food Service Worker / Kitchen Helper to support daily cafeteria operations—food prep, light serving, cleaning, restocking, and occasional dishwashing.

The role offers a steady daytime schedule in a positive school environment, with built‑in breaks and a calm kitchen setting. You’ll work closely with the Chef Manager to keep meals safe, served efficiently, and the kitchen organized.

Qualifications

• Ability to understand and communicate effectively in English.
• Ability to perform simple arithmetic and make change.
• Demonstrates integrity and respects confidentiality.
• Follows all food safety requirements and guidelines.
• Successfully pass a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Prep food items such as fruits, vegetables, salads, and simple batch ingredients.
• Assist with serving during lunch when needed.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness, including wiping surfaces, sweeping, and organizing stations.
• Support dishwashing on the day our primary dishwasher is off.
• Restock supplies such as utensils, trays, condiments, and paper goods.
• Help with end‑of‑day cleanup to prepare the kitchen for the next school day.
• Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Provide friendly, helpful service to students and staff.
