Job summary

Pawling Central School District's Food Services Department is seeking Substitute Food Service Helper(s) to support cooks part-time on an on-call basis.

The role involves helping with food prep, salads and desserts, washing and preparing produce, washing dishes, and maintaining clean work areas in accordance with sanitary practices. Shifts are approximately 3-4 hours per occurrence, paid at $16 per hour.

Qualifications

• Position involves assisting cooks in phases of food preparation.
• Assist in preparation of salads and desserts; cleans, washes and prepares vegetables & fruits for cooking.
• Handles food and equipment in accordance with sanitary practices; may place food on trays according to menu and diet requirements.
• Related work as required.
