• Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions.
• Pass the WV Service Personnel Tests for School Cook.
• Adhere to federal, state, and local laws and policies.
• Clear background check.
• Outstanding attendance and punctuality record.
• Willing to work a flexible schedule.
• Medium-heavy work capacity.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to all federal, state, and district laws and policies.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness in kitchen and cafeteria with daily cleaning.
• Order products weekly from vendors online and check school email daily.
• Use kitchen equipment effectively.
• Determine quantities of food to be prepared daily.
• Prepare and serve food per planned menu and production records.
• Follow recipes and product directions.
• Report faulty or inferior food to Cafeteria Manager/Child Nutrition Office.
• Support staff development and interact with students and public.
