Job summary

Whitsons is hiring a School Cook to join our nutrition team and prepare fresh, nutritious meals for students. You will work a Monday–Friday schedule with no nights or weekends, providing food that fuels learning and growth in a school setting.

Required at least 1 year of cooking or food service experience; ServSafe or local safety training is expected. You will operate in a fast-paced kitchen with a focus on safety, quality, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; must complete required training.
• Minimum 1 year of professional culinary or food service experience; school nutrition experience preferred.
• ServSafe certification required or must obtain within defined time after hire; local food safety certs may be required.

Responsibilities

• Cook and prepare a variety of meals per school menus.
• Ensure all food is safely cooked and presented with care.
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen workspace.
• Work with team to serve meals in a timely, friendly manner.
• Support special dietary needs and food allergy safety procedures.
