The Assistant Cook supports the Kitchen Manager with daily food preparation and cooking, after gaining at least three years of cooking experience. It requires following instructions, maintaining high food safety standards, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Reliable, responsible, and punctual.

• Obtain proper documentation to work in schools.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Kitchen Manager with food preparation and cooking menu items.
• Unpack and properly store food deliveries.
• Rotate stock and maintain proper inventory organistion.
• Follow established food - safety and sanitation procedures.
• Keep the kitchen and work areas clean and organized.
• Follow instructions and complete assigned tasks efficiently.
• Work cooperatively with kitchen staff and managerment.
• Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
