Reports to the Child Nutrition Manager and supports operations under the district HACCP plan. Starting September 2026, this part-time position requires the ability to lift 50 pounds, stand for several hours, and work with a team of school staff.

Qualifications

• Able to follow instructions and take initiative where needed.
• Cooperative attitude and ability to work with students, staff, and managers.
• Knowledge of sanitation precautions and HACCP procedures.
• Knowledge of or willingness to learn kitchen equipment and/or cash register operation.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Must be free from drugs and alcohol.
• Able to stand and work for at least 4 hours per day.
• Must be able to use arms and hands without restrictions.
• Must report to work on time.
• Must perform all duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Work in the area assigned by the Child Nutrition Manager.
• Operate and maintain kitchen equipment, heating/cooling units, and cash register as required.
• Take on alternating assignments on serving line, dish room, kitchen prep, and cashier duties.
• Keep areas clean and sanitary per HACCP plan and avoid backlogs.
• Clear dining areas and assist with setting tables and cleaning.
• Move and store food and supplies appropriately.
• Observe needs and assist to expedite work.
• Follow hygiene, grooming, and dress standards.
• Cooperate with coworkers, students, staff, and management.
