Job summary

Woodbridge School District is seeking a Child Nutrition Cafeteria General Worker to prepare and serve meals for students and staff in a courteous, customer-focused manner. The role supports daily kitchen operations, replenishes food during service, and ensures HACCP and health standards are followed.

Responsibilities include handling POS systems, assisting with cleanups, and working with the team to maintain a safe, compliant, and welcoming dining environment.

Qualifications

• Courteous customer service-oriented approach during meal service.
• Ability to learn and use point-of-sale systems.
• Willingness to follow USDA Child Nutrition Program meal pattern requirements.

Responsibilities

• Cook, prepare and serve breakfast, lunch and other meals.
• Ensure food supplies are replenished during meal service.
• Assist in daily kitchen and service area cleanup.
• Perform major cleaning of refrigerators and storeroom as scheduled.
• Maintain HACCP standards and state health requirements.
• Represent the school district in an ethical and professional manner.
• Learn and operate point of sale systems.
• Work cooperatively with co-workers.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by cook or manager.
