Job summary

Vista Charter Public Schools is seeking a dedicated food service worker to support school meals. You will maintain safety standards, wear a uniform, and handle deliveries, inventories and meal distribution for students.

The role requires a current food handler certificate, ability to pass background checks, and the flexibility to work 3 to 6 hour shifts. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus and teamwork is essential.

Qualifications

• Food handler certificate / Serv Safe required.
• Fluent in English; Spanish a plus.
• Able to collaborate and work in a team environment.
• Able to multitask effectively.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize safety and follow GMPs and guidelines.
• Wear proper uniform and be on time for school assignments.
• Receive food deliveries from drivers.
• Perform accurate inventory counts of food and supplies.
• Call supervisor to report problems during shift.
• Distribute meals to students.
• Maintain active food safety certification.
• Assist with BBQ events and audits as needed.
• Support state food audits and related duties.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
