Job summary

Douglas County School District is seeking a Kitchen Assistant - At Large to support daily meal prep for school breakfast and lunch programs. The role works across multiple kitchen locations under supervision, with ServSafe certification required within 6 months of hire.

Expected 30 hours per week, 0.75 FTE, full benefits, and reliable transportation for travel between sites. Training to follow HACCP procedures and sanitation standards is provided.

Responsibilities

• Maintain daily meal counts and production records.
• Assist in setup/cleanup of serving areas for timely service.
• Operate Point of Sale system and reconcile monies daily.
• Assist in opening/closing/cooking/serving in absence of Kitchen Manager.
• Receive deliveries and store food and supplies.
