Job summary

Target Range School in Missoula, MT is seeking a Substitute Kitchen Aide to support daily food service operations. This on-site role assists in setup, serving, cleanup, and cash handling while maintaining sanitary conditions in the kitchen and lunch areas.

Starting immediately, duties include cleaning, dispensing food, inventory support, and assisting student workers under the supervision of the Food Service Supervisor. Prior kitchen or school dining experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Possesses high school diploma or its equivalent.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical screen.
• Must be able to lift and carry a minimum of 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Cleans kitchen, utensils and serving area.
• Dispenses food at assigned location(s).
• Stores food and assists in maintaining inventory.
• Cooks and prepares food(s).
• Asserts proper controls as to daily food quantities.
• Prepares special diets as directed.
• Practices proper handling, storage of food and equipment.
• Handles ala carte duties and money.
• Supervises/assists student workers with lunchroom duties.
• Honors Board and administrative directives.
• Performs other duties as required by food service supervisor and/or administration.
