Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Nursing is required.
1-2 years supervisory or management experience preferred.
1-2 years school nursing experience preferred.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with diverse groups.
Ability to work with minimal supervision and stay calm in chaotic environments.

Responsibilities

Supervises, assigns and evaluates school nurses and health aides.
Determines coverage of support when needed.
Recruiting, interviewing and recommending new hires for nursing and health aide positions.
Provide training to nurses, health aides and first responders in school buildings.
Collaborates with local health departments and district staff on immunizations, records, and health policies.
Maintains student health information and ensures proper dissemination of health data.
