Job summary

New Albany-Floyd County Consolidated School District is seeking a Flex Building Supervisor to manage facilities operations in New Albany, IN. This hourly, non-exempt position supports maintenance, safety, and event setup across district sites.

Responsibilities include coordinating with the Facilities Office, supervising cleaners, and maintaining safety and building systems. Two years’ related experience and a high school/trade degree are preferred.

Qualifications

• Two years’ experience or equivalent in a similar position.
• High school or trade school education preferred for this role.

Responsibilities

• Communicates and coordinates building and grounds maintenance, cleaning activity needs and inventory with Facilities Office and contracted custodial services.
• Maintains and cleans buildings, sidewalks, parking lots, and outdoor areas; snow/ice removal as needed.
• Inspects safety equipment and distributes keys; supervises drills and emergency readiness.
• Coordinates with cleaning contractor on daily building upkeep and needs.
• Performs routine maintenance including lighting, plumbing, and minor repairs.
