Job summary

Charlotte Public Schools is seeking a School Health Specialist to support student health, safety, and well-being. The role coordinates health services, maintains health records, and liaises with families, staff, and providers to ensure compliant, confidential care across the district.

The position requires a CMA/RMA, CPR/First Aid, and strong communication skills, with the ability to work independently within district policies and Michigan regulations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certified Medical Assistant or Registered Medical Assistant.
• Experience with children or adolescents in school/healthcare settings.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Maintain confidentiality at all times.
• CPR/AED and First Aid certification or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver student health services district‑wide.
• Provide basic first aid and respond to illness or injury per protocols.
• Assess health concerns and notify appropriate staff or EMS.
• Assist with routine health needs and plans for students.
• Maintain student health records and related documentation.
• Coordinate health documentation with families.
• Support health plan development and staff training.
• Participate in emergency response and compliance duties.
