The role requires a BSN, Colorado RN license, and CPR/First Aid/AED certification, with a focus on student safety and collaborative health management across classrooms and services.

Qualifications

• BSN degree required.
• Two years of professional nursing experience required.
• Current Colorado RN license and Colorado Department of Education School Nurse certification; certificate upon employment or within 12 months for new graduates.
• Current CPR, First Aid and AED certification.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with staff, students, and families.

Responsabilités

• Oversee individual health needs of students and develop health care plans with input from caregivers and physicians.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal health laws and serve as a health care resource to teachers and staff.
• Facilitate mandated health screenings and coordinate referrals for follow-up treatment.
• Develop and implement IHP/IEP/504 health accommodations and supervise medication administration as assigned.
• Advocate for safety and health within the school environment and respond to health emergencies.
