Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing is required.
• RN or LNP license through the Georgia Board of Nursing is required.
• CPR and first aid certification required within one year of employment.
• Two years of experience in public health nursing, community health nursing, school health nursing, or pediatric nursing is required.

Responsibilities

• Promote and protect the health of school-aged children.
• Provide health assessments and health histories as needed.
• Screen vision, hearing, growth, and related areas as needed.
• Develop and implement student health plans and school health protocols.
• Initiate referrals to parents, school staff, and community health resources.
• Maintain clinic records and immunization certificates.
• Conduct health education and CPR/first aid training for staff.
