Job summary

Richmond County Schools is seeking a School Nurse to provide health services across Augusta-area locations, supporting student learning and well-being. The role requires an RN or LNP license in Georgia, CPR/First Aid within one year, and a relevant nursing background in public or school health.

The incumbent will perform health assessments, manage immunizations, and coordinate student health plans while maintaining confidential records and collaborating with staff and families.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing from an accredited college or university.
• RN or LNP license through Georgia Board of Nursing is required; CPR and first aid within one year.
• Knowledge of nursing procedures, student health needs, and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Provide health services to strengthen the educational process and address health barriers.
• Promote and protect health status of school-aged children; conduct health assessments.
• Screen vision, hearing, growth; observe and report health findings.
• Develop student health plans and school health protocols; refer as needed.
• Maintain clinic records, immunization certificates, and report to Principal.
