Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited college/university with an associate in arts or a bachelor's in nursing, plus graduation from an NP program approved by the Maryland Board.
• Or graduate from an accredited diploma school of nursing with NP program completion.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and provide professional nursing consultation services to non-public schools for school health programs.
• Oversee delivery of health programs and assist staff in promoting a safe school environment.
• Evaluate plans for first aid administration and coordinate health care interventions and emergency responses.
• Review plans for medication administration and ensure compliance with state regulations.
• Identify health barriers to student achievement and help families and staff remediate issues.
• Assist in developing plans for students with chronic health conditions and assess community health needs.
• Advise school staff on coordination of health matters between health care providers, families, and schools.
• Ensure compliance with immunization requirements and pre-school enrollment screenings.
• Contribute to health screening program coordination, including hearing, vision, and scoliosis screenings.
• Provide other related duties as required.
