Job summary

Copley Fairlawn Schools is seeking a School Staff Nurse to provide health services to students. This part-time, onsite role supports routine, special needs, and emergency first aid, while maintaining health records and contributing to education efforts.

Must have BSN (or obtain within 5 years), RN licensure, and BLS. Experience in pediatric care and school settings is preferred; 1–2 years in healthcare is typical. MS Office skills are required.

Qualifications

• Education: BSN required or within 5 years of hire.
• Certification: BLS certification required.
• RN licensure is required.
• 1–2 years of relevant experience preferred.
• Experience in pediatric nursing and school settings preferred.
• Experience in a multidisciplinary team preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides school health services as directed by department and contracts.
• Provides clinical care including routine, special needs, and emergency first aid.
• Maintains student health records and documents services rendered.
• Participates in the educational efforts of the department and the hospital.
• Communicates effectively with management, parents/guardians, school authorities, and allied personnel.
• Demonstrates the knowledge to provide care for physical, psychological, social, educational, and safety needs.
• Complies with departmental/school/state and federal policies, procedures and guidelines.
• Other duties as required.
