Job summary

Holyoke Public Schools is seeking an LPN Resource Nurse to support health services district-wide in Holyoke, MA. This full-time role reports to the Director of Health, Wellness & Nursing and works with school nurses, building administrators and staff to maintain a healthy school environment and back up screening and disease-control programs.

Qualifications

• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) program approved by the MA Board of Registration in Nursing.
• Minimum 1–3 years in pediatrics, community health, or related clinical settings.
• CPR certification and valid MA driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Work under general supervision of district health leadership.
• Collaborate with school nurse and building administrator.
• Maintain a healthy school environment with school personnel.
• Coordinate state-mandated screenings with school nurses.
• Participate in all aspects of the district’s screening program.
• Support district response to communicable diseases (flu, RSV, COVID-19).
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date health records.
• Administer medications and treatments per policy and standards.
• Maintain electronic SNAP records of medications and treatments.
• Document health-related activities daily.
• Maintain equipment and supplies for health services.
• Be a health education resource for staff, students, families.
• Refer students to community resources for unmet health needs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
