Job summary

Holyoke Public Schools is seeking a Districtwide Resource LPN and OOD G-Tube Services Nurse to support RN School Nurses across the district and provide specialized G-tube care for an out-of-district placement student.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a professional, compassionate approach, strong clinical judgement, and the ability to work independently within a collaborative nursing team. Comprehensive training and mileage reimbursement are included.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an LPN program approved by the MA Board of Registration in Nursing.
• 1–3 years of experience in pediatrics, community health, school nursing preferred.
• CPR certified.
• Valid drivers license and reliable transportation required for districtwide responsibilities.
• Strong clinical assessment, organizational, written and verbal/interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to complete student-specific G-tube feeding training.

Responsibilities

• Provide a daily midday G-tube feeding and care for an assigned out-of-district student.
• Provide districtwide nursing support and coverage as assigned.
• Collaborate with RN School Nurses and school administrators districtwide.
• Maintain accurate student health records and documentation.
• Administer medications and treatments per school policy.
• Assist with state-mandated health screenings.
• Maintain medical equipment and supplies and ensure proper functioning.
