Job summary

Cobb County School District is seeking a Supply School Nurse to provide health care services in the school clinic in the absence of the school nurse. You will work under the supervision of the principal and district nurse administrator to maintain student health records and ensure safe healthcare delivery.

Requirements include RN or LPN licensure in Georgia, graduation from an accredited nursing program, and 1 year of nursing experience (2 years preferred).

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing education program required.
• Valid RN/LPN licensure in Georgia; must meet CCSD substitute training requirements.
• 1 year nursing experience required; 2 years preferred; substitute experience in CCSD preferred.
• Ability to maintain accurate records and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Provides health care services for students in the school clinic in the absence of the school nurse.
• Administers medications per physician directions with proper documentation.
• Maintains a clean, safe clinic environment and follows standard precautions.
• Communicates with school personnel, families, and nursing administration regarding health issues.
• Performs other duties as assigned by appropriate administrator.
