Job summary

Focus School Software LLC is seeking a School Health Aide for Port Orange Elementary in Port Orange, FL. The role supports the health office with evaluations, first aid, medication administration, and referrals.

Reporting to the Principal in collaboration with the Nursing Supervisor, you will maintain records and ensure safety in a school setting. The position requires a High School diploma or GED, CNA/MA training, CPR/First Aid, and a valid Florida driver's license.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED or equivalent.
• Completion of a medical assistant or CNA training program is required.
• Two years nursing/patient care experience preferred.
• Current CPR and first aid certification required.
• Possess a valid Florida driver's license; must obtain Florida license if licensed elsewhere within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Staff school health room, perform health evaluations and administer first aid with referral to Nursing Supervisor as needed.
• Administer prescribed medications per policy and procedures.
• Maintain health room and work area cleanliness and supplies.
• Assist in managing health problem referrals.
• Provide routine health screenings, referrals and follow-up of students.
• Review student health records for Florida Statutes compliance.
• Keep documentation of treatments, procedures, and medications.
• Other duties as assigned by Principal or Nursing Supervisor.
