Job summary

IDEA Public Schools in Florida seeks a Health Aide to provide on-site student health services, conduct mandated screenings, and maintain 100% immunization state compliance and accurate health records under the campus Assistant Principal of Operations.

Candidates should hold a CNA or RMA, CPR/First Aid certification, and a high school diploma, with strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills and the ability to coordinate care with families, staff and healthcare partners.

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma or GED (Required)
• Experience: One-year experience in a health-related position (Preferred with school-age children)
• Certification: CNA or RMA (Required) and CPR/AED/First Aid (Required)
• Vision/hearing AN screenings certification (Preferred)
• Knowledge of basic first aid and CPR; strong organization and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care utilizing nursing process and school health protocols
• Serve as health advocate for students
• Notify parents of accidents or illnesses and coordinate medical care
• Coordinate medications administration at school
• Establish procedures for mandatory screening programs and referrals
