Orange County Public Schools seeks a School Health Assistant to support daily clinic operations under direct supervision. You will provide basic first aid, dispense medications to students, and conduct health screenings such as vision and hearing while maintaining medical records and communicating with parents during emergencies.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and completion of OCPS Comprehensive Health Assistant training or equivalent.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• OCPS Comprehensive Health Assistant training or equivalent.
• Ability to perform basic first aid and emergency procedures.

Responsabilités

• Responds to internal and external customers in a timely, accurate, courteous and empathetic manner representing OCPS in a positive light.
• Administers first aid for minor cuts and injuries and provides care for ill students.
• Dispenses medication to students.
• Conducts vision/hearing screenings as well as scoliosis screening.
• Maintains medication forms and prepares weekly/monthly reports.
• Notifies parents in case of medical emergencies or illness; files forms for later retrieval.
• Performs related clerical duties as needed.
