Central York School District seeks a full-time Health Room Assistant to support the health and wellness needs of students at Central York Middle School and Hayshire Elementary School. The role works under the Certified School Nurse, providing medical care, handling injuries or illnesses, maintaining health records, and coordinating with families and staff.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program with current RN or LPN license in PA.
• Current Basic Life Support certification.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to obtain PA Criminal, PA Child Abuse, and FBI background checks within 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Administer medication per district guidelines.
• Provide first aid in the absence of the nurse.
• Support students with special medical needs.
• Assess injuries and notify the nurse for further care.
• Screen students with communicable disease symptoms.
• Contact parents/guardians to arrange transportation when needed.
• Maintain accurate student health records and logs.
• Assist with health screenings under nurse direction.
• Perform other health-related duties as assigned.
