Stockton Unified School District is seeking a Health Care Assistant to provide basic first aid and health screenings for students, under the supervision of a credentialed nurse. Responsibilities include maintaining health records, administering medications, and coordinating health services.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid First Aid and CPR certificate, and an active California driver’s license for itinerant work between sites.

Qualifikationen

• Completion of the twelfth grade and one year of clerical or health office experience.
• Valid First Aid and CPR Certificate within 60 days of employment.
• May require CPR instructor certification with district-provided training.
• Active CA driver’s license and ability to provide self-transport between multiple sights daily.
• Ability to work under supervision and maintain confidentiality.

Aufgaben

• Administer basic first aid, medications and specialized treatment under supervision.
• Compile data for reports requested by the school nurse.
• Prepare immunization certificates, accident reports and inventory records.
• Respond to staff and parent inquiries.
• Assist in health-related instructional services.
• Dispense medications per physician instructions; maintain dosage records.
• Maintain student health records and immunization files.
• Coordinate vision, hearing and scoliosis screenings.
• Notify nurse/parents/physicians in emergencies.
• Operate health office equipment and computer software.
• Keep health office clean, organized and stocked.
• Communicate with district and outside agencies about health matters.
• Maintain regular attendance in the workplace.
