Job summary

Conroe Independent School District is seeking a school health aide to support the health office. You will assist the licensed nurse with routine tasks, provide basic first aid, and help with health screenings for students on campus.

The role involves maintaining health records, assisting with scheduling, and ensuring a clean, safe health office environment. Knowledge of confidentiality and district procedures is essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Certification for Vision, Hearing and Scoliosis Screening must be obtained within 60 days of hire.
• CPR/AED/First Aid Certification must be obtained within 60 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Carry out first aid and emergency procedures for ill and injured students as directed by the school nurse.
• Administer medications according to district policy; maintain accurate medication log.
• Assist with health screenings (height/weight, vision, hearing) and student exams.
• Escort students to and from health room and assist students with disabilities as necessary.
• Use universal precautions when cleaning spills and providing wound care.
