Job summary

AERRC is seeking a School Health Assistant to provide and administer direct health services to students under the supervision of a licensed RN, per district policies. You will assist with daily health needs and documentation of student visits in a school setting.

The position offers 7.5 hours per day, a 10-month year, and an hourly rate range of $21.60–$24.14 DOE, with benefits including sick/personal leave, paid holidays, medical/dental/vision, and retirement. Apply by email.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience working with school-age children.
• Experience in the medical field as a CMA and/or CNA.
• First Aid, CPR, and AED Certification within 45 days of employment; preference for holders.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to follow oral and written directions, including guidelines.
• Ability to document each student visit.
• Must have a valid driver's license and use of a personal vehicle; access to military installations may be required.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Provides and administers direct health services to meet daily health needs of students.
• Under supervision of an assigned licensed RN, follow district policies and directions.
• Document each student visit accurately and timely.
• Maintain patient records and confidentiality as required.
• Assist with emergencies and routine health screenings as needed.

Provides and administers direct services, under the supervision of an assigned licensed registered nurse (RN), to meet daily health needs of students in school, according to school district policies and under the direction of an assigned licensed registered nurse (RN).

New Hire Hourly rate:

Grade 6: $21.60 - $24.14 DOE

Internal Hourly Rate:

Determined by the ESSA Negotiated Agreement

Work hours:

7.5 hours per day

Work year:

10 months

Job Qualifications/Requirements (please review job description for qualifications and duties of the position):

1. High School diploma or equivalent.
