Job summary

Chippewa Valley Schools Huron Elementary in Clinton Township, MI is hiring a Health Aide to support students with health concerns. The role runs 8:55am–3:40pm, 6.25 hours per day, paying $18.11 per hour. Immediate start date with benefits as part of instructional support staff.

Responsibilities include first aid, administering medications, diabetes care, and maintaining accurate health records. CPR/First Aid training preferred; experience with children beneficial.

Qualifications

• Requires good oral and written communication.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; CPR/First Aid training preferred.
• Experience working with children preferred; 6 months or more of related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Dispense and administer medicines as ordered by a physician.
• Administer medications or perform other procedures as needed.
• Check blood glucose and follow diabetic care plans with logs.
• Maintain records and secure storage for medicines; notify parents for pickups.
• Provide first aid and emergency care; document injuries and actions taken.
• Assist with health-related needs and care for students, including asthmatic or ill students.
